Growing and Learning Together

Bradley Reading Stars

Fostering the joy of reading and sharing books

Sharing books and reading together with your child each day can help your child grow into a happy confident learner and it is also lots of fun.

Even the youngest child will love cuddling up somewhere quiet and listening to you as you share rhymes and stories together.

All children are encouraged to choose a book or a rhyme sack to share with you at home.

When your child has reached their 10 book milestone they will receive their first special 'reading star'

When they have collected 5 reading stars, they will be awarded an extra special star reader  certificate and a special book.

We will celebrate  the achievement of our reading stars in each nursery class.

Here are some of our reading stars.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff by Adam

Three little goats were in the woods and there's a troll and he's gonna eat the goats and ram their heads.  There was a problem for the goat,

"How dare you cross my bridge, I will eat you and ram your head.  Ok just eat the grass" (troll)

"It's my turn, stomp, stomp, stomp!"(big billy goat gruff)

"How dare you stomp on my bridge!"

They were charging each other, the troll went away.
